The 2016 TES calendar has come to a conclusion in the beatiful setting of the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, in the outskirts of Milan. The first TES meeting in Italy involved people from several leading Italian ISPs and email service providers, including ItaliaOnline, TIM, Fastweb, Dada and Infocert.
Two experts from Open-Xchange – Neil Cook, Chief Security Architect, and Vittorio Bertola, Research & Innovation Engineer – gave the audience a recollection of the current email security threats and technologies, and explained in depth the best practices that TES recommends. Also Vincenzo Riccio from TIM presented the broadband offer and the security activities of Italy’s incumbent operator.
A lively discussion followed with a roundtable among participants, several of which later joined the TES technical discussion list. Some operators have started to evaluate the best practices and hope to be ready for some tests in early 2017.
After two hours of meeting, the crowd was then treated to a visit into the wonderful rooms of Alfa Romeo’s historical museum, hosting breathtaking cars from the early twentieth century onwards. A friendly dinner put the day to an end.
