On May 25 TES went outside Europe for the first time. We picked Latin America and Brazil for our first southern hemisphere experience, and it was great!
In the Brazilian business capital of Sao Paulo, in the nice informal setting of the Cervejaria Devassa in the Avenida Paulista town section, a crowd of thirty people from the biggest players in the email space in Brazil gathered to learn and discuss about email security.
The audience included companies like Telefonica/Vivo, Terra and UOL, but also the local representatives of global powerhouses such as HP, IBM and Microsoft.
The usual presentations by Open-Xchange‘s Vittorio Bertola, VadeSecure‘s Adrien Gendre and Halon‘s Anders Berggren were supplemented, as a new entry, by Sonian‘s Murilo Pereira, discussing post-delivery email analysis.
After all this discussion, a nice “happy hour” with beer and lots of great Brazilian finger food allowed all participants to make questions, exchange views and become friends.
It was another nice event for TES, and more and more interest has been created about DNSSEC, DANE and other email security technologies. See you with more meetings after the summer!
